Enas al Degheidi to Shoot New Film on Egyptian Girls

Egyptian director Enas al Degheidi is gearing up for a new film based on the writer Huda al Zein’s novel Ghaba Min al Shawk (Forest of Thorns) to be scripted by Rafiq al Sabban, according to the daily al Messa.
The film depicts the story of three Arab girls, Egyptian, Lebanese and Moroccan, who meet in France and become friends. They adventure together a very active and exited life in France.
Meanwhile, Egyptian director Salah Sirri is gearing up for a new film about adolescent girls entitled Qasr al Sabr (Patience Palace).
“My film provides new daring solutions for the girls’ problems at adolescence. I am pleased with the decision of censors who gave the script the green light contrary to the anticipated hot battle with them,” the director told the London-based daily al Sharq al Awsat.
Costarring in Qasr al Sabr the young actress Hala Shiha and her sister Maya.
Earlier, the Egyptian cinema produced films about the adolescent girls’ issues. The latest of these were Asrar al Banat (Girls Secrets) under the direction of Magdi Ahmed Ali and costarring Maya Shihah and Sherif Ramzi along with Sawsan Bader, and Muzakkarat Murahiqah (Adolescent Girl Memoirs) directed by Enas al Degheidi and costarring Ahmed Ezz along with the Tunisian actress Hind Sabri in her first Egyptian film debut.
