Castration Flick Casting Gives Yusra the Willies

Egyptian actress Yusra has sent her regrets to director Said Marzouq for not starring in his film Al Agha, which deals with the delicate topic of castration.
In the film, a servant is castrated so that his master will be reassured regarding his presence among his wives.
“The film is more daring than it should be, and it will face problems with the censors, who will not give the green light to such an audacious film,” Yusra told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
For his part, Marzouq said: “I consider the film not daring at all, compared with previous films including Al Muthniboun (Guilty Parties) , Al Mughtasiboun (Rapists), Al Marah Wal Satour (The Woman and the Cleaver) and my latest film, Qasaqis Al Ushaq (Lovers’ Clippings).
“I asked Yusra to wait until I got the green light from the censors. If she refuses the offer completely, I’ll nominate Nadia Al Jundi, Nabila Ebeid or Elham Shahin for the starring role.” - 9cfdf1.com
