Majida Bankiran Narrates Wardiya’s Memoirs

Moroccan actress Majida Bankiran is currently shooting her new TV film Muthakkarat Wardiya (Wardiya’s Memoirs) directed by Mohammed Husseini and produced by Moroccan channel 1.
“I play the role as Wardiyyah, a married woman and mother of two children who suffers from psychological disorders and visits a psychologist for treatment. The film reveals the real reasons behind Wardiyyah’s tension and depression. Doctors advise her to resort to nature to be relieved of her suffering,” Bankiran told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.
She added, “the director based his work on special technical vision and followed a cinematic direction style we are not used to see in the Moroccan productions.”
Costarring in the film along with Bankiran are Mohammed Khoubi, Mohammed Bastawi, Fatma Atef, Bushra Ejork and Mohammed Marzawi.
The latest appearance of Bankiran on TV was in Mindil Safiyya (Safiyya Bandana) directed by Mohammed al Elaiwi which was aired by channel 1 last Ramadan.
The Moroccan actress also participates in the second part of the Moroccan comedy series Lalah Fatma directed by the French Patrick Nicoloni, while Moroccan director Nabil Ayoush handles the production. Bankiran plays the role of a young woman looking for a bridegroom.
