Director Fahmi al Sharqawi is editing his film Fallah Fi al Congress (Farmer in Congress) marking his direction debut. The film screening will begin at more than 46 venues in the middle of next July.
The film story was written by Sherif Abdel Azim, scripted by Hamdi Yousef and costarring Shaaban Abdel Rehim, Alaa Murcy and Abeer Sabri shortly before her quittance.
“In the film I show the longest shot in the Egyptian cinema history through a scene lasting for 3 minutes and 15 seconds.
The film addresses the topic that everybody plays on the same arena, the oppressor and the oppressed, the deceiver and the deceived through a man living in a countryside village who is unfairly accused of theft and hiding the stolen items inside the village council. This case spurred him to be dismissed from his village and go to Cairo and meet a beggar. He does the same as the beggar and takes theft as a profession at Lady Zainab Square. Then he turns to selling liver on a moving cart but he is dissatisfied with the income. So he begins fraud operations until he himself falls as a victim of such operations -- 7eabe3.com
