Feminists Drive Men to Extinction in ‘The Women Are Coming’Egyptian actress Hala Fakher has joined the feminist gang ‘Noon Al Niswah,’ whose members put pressure on their husbands after the passage of a new law on women's rights. A new law starts to turn Egypt's traditionally male-dominated society on its head, with clauses regarding divorce, marriage documentation and women’s rights to travel without permission from their husbands. Actress Salwa Khattab performs the role of the psychiatrist, Dr. Nihad. The show's list of wives which also includes Salwa Bader, Majedah Al Khatib and Ghada Abdel Razzaq who, armed with the new law, challenge the men who used to run the show. “The episode tackles, in general, the position of the woman under the new law, which has strengthened her position and made her more dominant. Compared to her, man has become nothing but an extinct dinosaur,” Fakher reiterated to the daily. The series was scripted by Atef Bashai and directed by Hasan Bashir.
