Mohammed Riyad, a Mounted Mamluke, Fears His Horse

Fear of falling to his death from a horse has prompted Egyptian actor Mohammed Riyadh to refuse to perform in a scene in the TV series Al Amira Wal Mamluk (The Prince and the Mamluke).
Nevertheless, Ryad asked the director not to use a replacement for the scene, in which a group of mounted Mamlukes escape from their foes by jumping over a high castle wall, according to the daily Al Bayan.
The director agreed, and used special effects to shoot the scene.
Ryad’s fears stem from an American movie he saw that depicted the same kind of scene in which the horse refused to jump, sending the knight tumbling in a serious accident - ffeabd.com
