Khaled Taja and Nabila Al Nabulsi…Old and Lonely in ‘The Black Wall’

“The Black Wall” is a new TV film by director Osama Shqeir, who has previously worked as the assistant of prominent Syrian directors such as Hassan Oweiti, Ghassan Bakhous and Mohammad Sheikh Najib, according to the Syria Times.
The script of the film, which was written by Hani Al Sa’adi, deals with the loneliness suffered by old people when their children become adults and leave the nest. This problem may be compounded by the fear of death.
The film is currently being shot at Damascus Ghuta. Starring are Khaled Taja and Sobhi Al Rifae, who play old men trying to help each other resolve the problems of that come with age.
