‘Bent Afandina’ Depicts President Abdel Nasser from Power to DeathEgyptian renowned Actress Yousra agreed to star in the new TV episode Bent Afandina (The Daughter of our Master) taken from a story holding the same name and written by Mohammed Jalal, The episode scripts is written by Mostapha Moharam and expected to be directed by Jamal Abdel Hameed, according to ArabStars.Net.Yousra had previously taken a decision to stay away from the TV screens for at least three years after Awan Al Ward (Time of Flowers) until she founds something up to the same level or higher and that she did not expect to find such a work so fast. Yousra also stated that she accepted the role immediately after reading the first five episode of the series adding that it is quite different from any other episode and the first of its kind that gives the total star role to a lady while all male actors roles are secondary. On the other side Jalal said that when he started writing the story he originally planned on writing his own experience, however, he deviated from it to other events. Bent Afandina depicts the events that have occurred since the day President Abdel Nasser come to power in 1954 and until his funeral in 1970. The TV series, which consists of 22 chapter, will be produced by Voice of Cairo, which allotted an initial budget of 3 million pounds for it.
