Shwikar to Taste Nectar of Paradise

Celebrated Egyptian actress Shwikar will return to the set next month to shoot the television series Rahiq Al Firdaws (Nectar of Paradise).
“I perform the role of Omar Al Hariri’s wife, who belongs to the generation of parents who are stronger, more patient and more dignified than the present generation, which can’t cope with the shocks and troubles of modern life,” Shwikar told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
“I found, in this series, a new role that has encouraged me to return to the small screen, which I left behind when I performed in the series Imraah min Zaman Al Hubb (A Woman From the Time of Love), which was written by Osama Anwar Ukashah,” she added.
Costarring along with Shwikar in the upcoming series are Hariri, Ahmed Zaher, Noorhan, and Nadia Ezzat. The script was written by Mohammed Aziz and the direction was by Sharif Hammoudeh.
Shwikar’s last big-screen performance was in the movie Al Ashiqan (Two Lovers) written by Kawthar Haikal. Noor Al Sharif directed and starred in the film, which will hit the theaters on the first day of the next Sacrifice Feast holiday - 46922a.com
