‘Al Assefah’ Burns American Flag and Competes at San Francisco FestivalThe Egyptian director Khaled Yousef and the actress Yusra left Cairo for San Francisco to attend the film “Al Assefah” (the Thunderstorm) which will be screened along with other films on the competition list of San Francisco film festival, according to Akhbar Al Yawm.Paradoxically, the movie was nominated by the festival director despite the fact that one of its scenes features the American flag being burnt. The censors have made some remarks regarding the title of the movie which tells the story of a young man and a girl who went to the president to obtain a resolution ordering their marriage. This is due to the many problems, which the couple faces in accomplishing their marriage.
