Anoshka and Wael Kfouri to Debut on Silver Screen

Egyptian singer Anoshka and his Lebanese counterpart Wael Kfouri will make their debut on the big screen in the film Jahim Fawq Al Sahab (Hell Over Clouds), costarring Laila Taher, Salah Abdulla and Dina Abed.
The film, directed by Nabil Shaker, is about a highjacking. Several scenes will be shot at Cairo Airport, while others will be shot in the United States.
The preliminary cost estimate for the film is six million pounds. Syrian comedy star Dureid Lahham has agreed to appear as a guest of honor.
Anoshka told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat, “I am gearing up to travel to Canada in the middle of this month to sing at the Ottawa International Song Festival, in which a group of international singers will take part.”
The Egyptian singer added, “I have wrapped up filming a video for my new album song Wainak (Where Are You?), written by Mohyi Fawwaz and Mohammed Aram and directed by Adel Adib.
“The new album will come with a number of surprises, among them the participation of three foreign composers including the Turk Ellen Shantin. Two of the album’s songs were composed by Lebanese composer Ehsan Al Munther and the Algerian Queili Fadhel.” – 6512bd.com
